WAYTRONX ANNOUNCES AWARD OF MAJOR PRODUCTION, SALES & DISTRIBUTION LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH GL INDUSTRIAL SERVICES UK LTD
Contract valued at between $35.0 and $40.0 million
TUALATIN, Ore. – August 10, 2009 – Waytronx, Inc. (OTCBB: WYNX), a leading provider of openly licensable advanced systems cooling solutions together with its joint venture partner, Test Products International, Inc. (“TPI”), today announced that it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with GL Industrial Services UK Ltd (GL), formerly British-based Advantica Ltd, to manufacture, sell, and distribute its second generation Gas Quality Inferential Measurement Device (GASPT2).
The GASPT2, designed by GL, is a low cost solution to measuring gas quality. It can be connected to a natural gas system to provide a fast, accurate, close to real time measurement of the gas physical properties, such as thermal conductivity, speed of sound and carbon dioxide content. From these measurements it infers an effective gas mixture comprising four components: methane, propane, nitrogen, and measured carbon dioxide and then uses ISO6976 to calculate the gas quality characteristics of calorific value (CV), Wobbe index (WI), relative density (RD), and compression factor (Z)."
“The truth is that this is new, ground-breaking, technology. At present, there is not really any equivalent product competition,” declared J. P. Aleskus, President of TPI. “There are instruments like gas chromatographs, but they are slow and complicated to use. An equivalent to the GasPT2 would likely be at least twice the price. We would expect to be replacing gas chromatographs in the field with our new unit,” Aleskus said.
The license agreement between GL on the one hand and Waytronx and TPI on the other, calls for an estimated $35.0 to $40.0 million in gross revenues during the first four years.
Waytronx intends to set up a separate operating unit to coordinate manufacturing, marketing, sales, and distribution of the device. Initial distribution will be through the infra-structure provided by Waytronx’s wholly owned subsidiary, CUI, Inc. Shipments to customers will begin in first quarter of 2010.
Waytronx has been awarded exclusive rights to market and sell the product in North, Central, and South America. The product (pictured below) is fully protected by more than 85 separate international patents held and enforced by GL.

William Clough, Waytronx’s President & CEO, states, “GL, through its Advantica heritage, is recognized as an industry leader in the natural gas industry and Waytronx greatly values this relationship.”
According to Clough, “We are delighted to announce this new product line, which is a milestone for Waytronx. It is unique to the industry, providing for the very first time the ability to obtain ‘real-time’ accurate measurement of the calorific value and relative density of natural gas in the pipeline.”
“This licensing agreement is yet another step towards Waytronx’s transition to a technology/licensing business model,’’ explained Clough. “Our ability to continue acquiring technology from blue chip clients like GL in the current business climate is a testament to the strength and quality of our marketing team as well as our broad product and service offerings,” Clough added.
“We believe this new agreement puts us in an excellent position to capitalize on the infra-structure acquired with CUI, while increasing gross revenues and enhancing shareholder value,” concluded Clough.
