ONSCREEN TECHNOLOGIES NAMES DR. MICHAEL SCHUTTE FIRST TECHNOLOGY FELLOW
PORTLAND, Ore. – Oct. 2, 2007 – OnScreen Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: ONSC), the leading provider of openly licensable advanced systems cooling solutions, today announced that Dr. Michael Schuette has been appointed an OnScreen Technical Fellow, a special distinction awarded to individuals whose exceptional leadership and technical contributions have made a significant impact to the company and industry.
In this expanded and enhanced role as Technical Fellow, Dr. Schuette will direct OnScreen’s scientific program to explore and facilitate new and broader applications for OnScreen’s WayCool™ technology, a patented scientific approach to address “micro-warming” or the intense heat generated by advanced processors and systems including microprocessors, graphics processors, systems on a chip and displays.
“Michael is one of the most influential and innovative scientists in the personal computing industry,” said William Clough, chief executive officer of OnScreen Technologies. “He has been instrumental in the development of our patent portfolio, including the design of particular elements within our solar solution and elements making our coolers ‘leak proof.’ Michael’s knowledge, experience, and reputation in the microprocessor industry continue to make him an invaluable member of the OnScreen scientific team and in the continued development of our WayCool technology.”
The technical fellow designation represents the highest level of technical achievement at OnScreen. Dr. Schuette was previously the chief technology officer at OnScreen where he drove the company’s technical strategy towards a revolutionary approach to thermal management which integrates the benefits of air and liquid cooling. Under his stewardship, OnScreen and its engineering team, led by Stan Robinson, also explored and successfully developed a patent-pending carbon block heat transfer medium to address the limitations of copper interfaces in electronic cooling solutions. As a result of these breakthrough features, OnScreen’s WayCool™ technology offers the greatest cooling capacity in the industry to address CPU and graphics processor heat, reaching and surpassing 400W for the first time.
Dr. Schuette has more than two decades of experience in government and privately funded vision research, the semiconductor industry and intellectual property management. His interdisciplinary approaches have provided a greater understanding of common problems in personal computing, and have led to revolutionary technical solutions. Dr. Schuette is the author of several hundred articles and technical analyses. He holds one issued patent and 20 pending applications pertaining to memory technology and digital rights management.
As founder and editor-in-chief of the well known and well respected technical website, www.LostCircuits.com, Dr. Schuette has considerable renown as a leading commentator on advanced technology and breakthrough products for the electronics industry, generally, and the microprocessor space, in particular. His articles and reviews of new and developing technologies put him in a unique position to help optimize and direct the applications for OnScreen’s proprietary technology.
Dr. Schuette graduated from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany, where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Neurobiology and a minor in Physics. Dr. Schuette also holds a doctorate degree from Ludwig Maximilians University.
