ONSCREEN TECHNOLOGIES CHANGES NAME TO WAYTRONX

Continuing its Transformation into a Licensing/R&D Model and Confirming its Focused Strategy on Thermal Management Technologies that Address Microwarming in Advanced Electronics; OnScreen is Rebranding and Relocating to San Diego County

VISTA, Calif. – (Dec. 10, 2007) – Waytronx, Inc. (OTCBB: ONSC), previously OnScreen Technologies, is the new name for the leading provider of openly licensable advanced systems cooling solutions. Shareholders approved the name change this morning during the company’s 2007 Annual Meeting. The Waytronx name better reflects the company’s strategic direction in advanced electronics. Additionally, the company announced it will consolidate its headquarters into existing engineering facilities near San Diego in Vista, Calif.

“This has been a tremendously successful year in terms of design wins, collaborative technology development and securing patents for our innovative WayCool™ technology,” said William Clough, chief executive officer of Waytronx. “For many years, OnScreen focused on the Light Emitting Diode (LED) signage business and the company name was fitting for that strategy. However, as we advanced our expertise in addressing extreme heat in digital electronics, it became evident that there is larger opportunity for the company here. The long term industry trends to multicore processing and 3D packaging of advanced electronics create a microwarming crisis that can severely limit a system’s performance. Waytronx, with its patented cooling technologies, is well positioned to address these thermal challenges. Accordingly, the name of the company now more accurately reflects our new business focus.”

According to a 2005 report prepared by Principia Partners, an independent market survey group, the market potential for cooling solutions with applications in the personal computing and server markets is estimated to be in the billions of dollars.

Waytronx has compiled and developed an extensive technology portfolio, which currently includes WayCool™ thermal management architecture and WayFast™ power and communications architecture. Additionally, Waytronx successes over the past year include:

  • Licensing agreements with industry leaders including OCZ Technology Group, Thermaltake Technologies and CUI to integrate WayCool technology in high-end video gaming cards, high performance CPU’s and power supply units for electronics devices; and,
  • Granting of initial patents for WayCool technology providing for the use of meshes for cooling in a broad spectrum of applications.

The company’s name change is accompanied by an aggressive brand marketing program to ensure that the WayCool open architecture and open licensing business partnerships with CPU, graphics, and system cooling OEMs is clearly visible to potential partners, end-users, shareholders and the engineering community. The Waytronx move to San Diego County brings the company closer to OEM, ODM and electronics designers in key microprocessor-based electronics markets such as medical monitoring devices, home entertainment, solar and computers.
